Scout Day & Solar Observation
at the Farmer’s Market!
Saturday, September 1st, 2018
8:00 a.m. - noon
Come and be
wow-ed by the creativity, hard-work, and talent of some local Scouts, who
completed impressive projects to benefit Historic Sotterley! All are welcome to
hear the presentations about the construction of bat houses, the re-working of
our trail maps, and the environmental benefits of nature projects on Saturday,
September 1st, 2018 from 8:00 a.m. to noon at our Farmer’s Market.
For all Scouts dressed in
uniform,
we have a special “Thank
You”:
Half-price Manor House
Tours ($3 per person).
Our friends from
the Southern Maryland Astronomical Society (SMAS) will also be in attendance
with their solar observation equipment. Come and check out the daytime sky
safely (no burned retinas from looking directly at the sun)!
