Hollywood, MD - Announcing open auditions for our wildly popular annual signature event – The Ghosts of Sotterley! Whether you are a seasoned actor or have a new-found interest in acting, we invite all from age 12 and up to try out. You will be in great company with an enthusiastic group of talented wonders who enjoy performing and love Sotterley!

Auditions will be held at the Sotterley Warehouse on:

 

Tuesday, August 5th    6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Saturday, August 9th    10 am - 12 pm

Tuesday, August 12th    6:30 pm – 8:30 pm

Saturday, August 16^th   10 am - 12 pm

This year’s Ghosts of Sotterley, “Love, Life, Liberty & Loss” will run on October 17, 18, 23, 24 & 25 from 7:00 p.m. – 10:30 p.m. If you are able to commit to rehearsal dates and to all of these show dates, then you just may be the perfect fit for one of the roles. Just bring yourself and your undeniable talent; we will provide the reading.

Sotterley Plantation is pleased to announce open auditions for this year’s Ghosts of Sotterley - “1918: Influenza, War, and Restless Spirits” and Sotterley Holiday Candlelight - “From This Day Forward.”

The final two date for Open Auditions:

Tuesday, August 21st 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.

Saturday, August 25th 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.

Ghosts of Sotterley roles available for the following:

3 Females age 10-15
1 Female age 16-20
2 Females age 20-35
1 Female age 45-55
6 Females and age in good physical condition to be tour guides (guide is a speaking part)
3 Males age 12-15
11 Males age 20-35
1 Male age 30-55
2 Males age 30-55 (Non Speaking)
1 Male age 55-65
Important Production Dates:

Tuesday, August 28th - First General Meeting.
Beginning August 30th - Rehearsals scheduled for Tuesdays & Thursdays.
Oct 19, 20, 25, 26 and 27th – Show Dates.


Sotterley Holiday Candlelight roles available for the following:

Last week of October TBA – First General Meeting.
November 3-17, TBA - Rehearsals one week night and one weekend afternoon per week.
November 26, 6-9 p.m. (full cast) - Tech Rehearsal.
November 28, 6-9 p.m. (full cast) - Dress Rehearsal.
November 29, 30 and December 1, 6-9 p.m. - Show Dates.

Sotterley Plantation is pleased to announce open auditions for two of our annual signature events: Ghosts of Sotterley and Sotterley Holiday Candlelight.

Auditions will be held at the Sotterley Warehouse on:

Tuesday, August 21st 6 p.m.-8 p.m.

Saturday, August 25th 10 a.m.-12 p.m.

Ghosts of Sotterley 2012 entitled, “1918: Influenza, War, and Restless Spirits,” will run on October 19, 20, 25, 26 & 27th from 7:00 – 10:30 p.m. While restoring Sotterley Plantation to its former glory, owner, Herbert Satterlee disturbs more than the bricks and mortar as the country is in the midst of a flu pandemic and the remains of the Great War. This outdoor production takes place on the Sotterley grounds.

This year’s Sotterley Holiday Candlelight entitled, “From This Day Forward” will run on Thursday, November 29th for Members’ Night and November 30 & December 1st for the general public from 6:00 – 10:00 p.m. In this living history production set within the 1703 Plantation House, visitors will encounter Sotterley’s past Christmas seasons and the families who lived and worked here. Share love, laughter and sometimes bittersweet memories at home on the plantation.
